‍‍`Final Game‍‍` will be played, if demands not met

Nurul Haque Nur‍‍`s Gono Odhikar Parishad issued a week-long ultimatum to Election Commission (EC) of Bangladesh to meet the party‍‍`s demand of getting status of EC registered political party.

While addressing a street rally, after being barred by law enforcers at Bangla Motor area of the capital, former Dhaka University Central Students‍‍` Union (Ducsu) vice-president (VP) Nurul Haque Nur said, their demands of being a registered political party should be met by seven days. 

“Otherwise, you have to face final game,” Nur, President of Gono Odhikar Parishad added.

A procession started from Paltan area, demanding getting registration from EC as the party applied for the enrolment and denied by the election authority. The procession was meant to seize the Nirbachan Bhaban, situated at Agargaon. 

While going towards the area, cops intervened at Bangla Motor and Gono Odhikar Parishad took to the street for nearly an hour and later left the road after holding short rally and issuing ultimatum. 

Md Rashed Khan, General Secretary of a fraction of Gono Odhikar Parishad also spoke at the time.
